SECTOR THEMES
RESIDENTIAL HOUSING
Over the course of our careers, Stormont’s senior team members have advised on over $6B of multi-family housing transactions, comprising more than 60,000 units, across Canada.
We have assisted the largest Canadian owners, operators and developers of residential housing in raising capital for growth. Our team is also highly adept in the US student housing sector, and we are now applying that knowledge base to support growth in the Canadian student housing, single family rental and manufactured housing market.
We strongly believe that urbanization and affordability are themes that will continuously reshape how we think about housing and that other creative forms of housing (such as manufactured housing communities or co-living) will see increased investment in the coming years, particularly from institutional investors seeking "alternative alternatives" to their core real estate allocations.
LAND & URBAN DEVELOPMENT
Urbanization is transforming cities around the world. Canada’s six major cities, and in particular Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal are no exception. These cities will continue to suffer from housing shortages as their populations grow. The need to creatively intensify our neighbourhoods has never been greater. Our team’s collective experience in all forms of multi-residential housing and development, and hands-on experience in city planning uniquely positions us to assist clients in structuring and financing complex developments in urban areas.
HEALTHCARE SERVICES BUSINESSES
